Invitation for Public Society and Business Organizations

We have the great pleasure of announcing that according to its tradition, The „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University Iasi, Romania, through The Center for Continuing Education and Training – CETEX, organize The 6 th International Seminar „Quality Management in Higher Education”, to be held in Tulcea, Romania, on July 8-9, 2010.

The focus of the 2010 Seminar will be on Sustainability in Higher Education.We hope to obtain various and valid opinions from all stakeholders from the public society, especially employers, regarding the necessary competences the higher education graduates should possess nowadays.

On this occasion, there will take place presentations and debates on the proposed Seminar topics (please refer to the Call for papers). Also several workshops will be organized, for which we estimate the participation and attendance of the public society and business environment represented by outstanding personalities from the National Federations, Trade and Industry Chambers, Romanian and foreign business organizations, Government cabinets, research institutes, and higher education institutions from Romania and other 10 countries.

We therefore gladly encourage you and your collaborators to participate, at this international scientific event, and kindly ask you to attend, on the behalf of your organization, these multinational workshops.

Taking into consideration your position and experience, we invite you to express your opinion in the framework of these sessions, regarding such topics as:

1. The needs of the public society and business environment concerning the competences of higher education graduates – the frequency and manner to collect and analyze them;
2. Partnerships between business environment and universities;
3. The role of public society and business environment in setting the institutional strategies for higher education institutions (HEIs);
4. Quality system and the quality evaluation in higher education – The stakeholders view;
5. Marketing and recruiting in higher education.
6. The efficiency of higher education in Romania - the dynamics of educational-formative requirements.

Other debate topics that are of interest for you could also be included in the final agenda.
